The United Nations has determined 18 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that, if achieved within the next twelve years, will enable us to save our planet and live on it sustainably. The trouble is that awareness of these goals is still incredibly low and it is hard to see who is working on what, and what impact they are having. But not for long IF we create a tracker to measure this and help to coordinate collaborations across the globe!
Building on our supply chain operating system that runs TISCreport, TISCOS, we can not only enable organisations to state which SDGs they are working on, but who they are working with and what they are achieving towards local, national and global goals. Buyers will also be able to let their suppliers know where their own priorities are, and collaborate to achieve much more than working alone. The tracker will also connect up local SDG activist groups with corporate efforts and provide visibility across geographic locations.
Whilst we are not working in an official partnership with e.g. DFID (the UK Government Department given the responsibility for the UK’s contributions to achieving the SDGs) or any other Government Department working on UN SDGs, the tracker will help provide much needed live data to enable them to steer efforts strategically. TISCreport is a member of the Bristol SDG Alliance.
